In the afternoon of 15 December 2018, H.E. Somsavat Lengsavad, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and a four-member delegation visited Hainan University. President Luo Qingming of Hainan University warmly received H.E. Somsavat Lingsavad and his delegation, and the two sides had an exchange discussion on cooperation matters in agriculture and forestry, tourism, civil engineering and construction engineering, as well as student exchange and cooperation in running schools on the third floor of the Sino-Japanese Friendship Exchange Center and the Heart Hall. Liang Mou, Vice President of Hainan University, and Chen Mingbao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department of Hainan University, attended the seminar.
