From 29 to 31 July 2021, the 2021 International Summit on Cultural Tourism and the 14th World Hotel Forum, themed "The Economic Revival of Cultural Tourism Integration", was successfully held at the Hilton Hainan Haikou Luneng.

As an invited guest, Dean Guo Qiang delivered a keynote speech on "Opportunities for Tourism Development under Hainan's Free Trade Port Policy System", discussing the current development opportunities for Hainan's tourism industry and expressing his outlook for the future from the perspective of high-quality development elements, extension of the tourism industry chain, and new tourism products. The President Guo Qiang used the analogy of the manufacturing industry's "smile curve" to point out that Hainan's tourism industry should play a leading role in the value of its core economic status, through the industrial agglomeration effect, supply and demand double high-end to achieve the transformation of low value-added to high value-added.

2021 is a key year for the construction of Hainan's free trade port. With the strengthening of the system and the implementation of various preferential policies, the development of Hainan's tourism industry has a once-in-a-lifetime historical opportunity. It is believed that in the near future, Hainan tourism will continue to play to its strengths, achieve internationalisation and high-end quality transformation, and gradually become a force for good for Hainan and the world.
