University of Indonesia
The University of Indonesia, or INDO, is Indonesia's oldest institution of higher learning and a member of the Pacific Rim University Consortium. Graduates of Indonesian universities have played an important role in Indonesian politics and society for decades. Since its establishment in 1849, the school's faculty and students have worked hard to achieve greater heights. The school maintains a world-class level in teaching and research. About thirty thousand students attend the school, including students from all over the world. The university ranks the top of Indonesia's higher education institutions, and the quality of students and teachers is among the best in the country. In terms of international exchange, the university has established cooperative relationships with foreign universities and research institutions in teaching, research, consultation and exchange of teachers and students.
