报告人简介：

A. Stephen Dahms got his Ph.D. degree at Michigan State University in 1969. He was Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at San Diego State University (1972-2006) and now occupies the position of Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. From 2005 to 2011 he served as the inaugural President and CEO of the Alfred E. Mann Foundation for Biomedical Engineering and led the creation, funding, organization, setup, scientific and technology review, and research project selection of the first two of the Mann biomedical product commercialization-enablement institutes (Alfred E. Mann Institutes for Biomedical Development) at Purdue University and The Technion University (Haifa, Israel). He is Vice President for Academic, Industry, and Government Affairs for the Southern California Biomedical Council, the trade organization for the Greater LA Regional 900+ biotechnology, pharmaceutical, in vitro-diagnostic and medical device companies. He participates in Congressional advocacy, the affairs and meetings of the BIO Council of State Biotechnology Associations and the BIO Congressional Legislative Fly-ins. He is currently guiding industry efforts in the 5-county Southern California region in creating new industry-focused education programs at regional institutions of higher education.
