蒋晓东,教授,博士生导师。2011年在中山大学地球科学与工程学院取得学士学位,留校硕博连读于2017年获得博士学位,2017年至2023年在南方科技大学海洋磁学中心从事海洋古环境研究,2023年至2025年在广东工业大学工作开展铁循环研究,2025年9月加入海南大学南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室。其中,2018年3月至7月访问澳大利亚国立大学(Australian National University)Andrew P. Roberts教授课题组,2023年11月-2024年11月在国家留学基金委资助下与苏黎世联邦理工学院(ETH Zurich)Heather M. Stoll教授开展合作研究。主持国家自然科学基金面上、广东省自然科学基金面上等项目,参与国际海域资源调查与开发“十三五” 课题,国家自然科学基金-重大研发计划-重点支持等项目。发表SCI论文30余篇,其中,以第一作者(或共同第一)在PNAS,Geology,EPSL, GRL, JGR等国际刊物发表文章。担任国际期刊Minerals和Frontiers in Marine Science客座编辑,《矿物岩石地球化学通报》青年编委;担任国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金函评专家。
Professional Profile
Dr. Xiaodong Jiang is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Hainan University. He obtained bachelor's degree in 2011 and Ph.D. in 2017 from the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University. From 2017 to 2023, He conducted research on sea-land interactions at the Center for Marine Magnetism of Southern University of Science and Technology. He Joined the State Key Laboratory of South China Sea Marine Resources Utilization of Hainan University in September 2025. From March to July 2018, he visited the group of Professor Andrew P. Roberts at the Australian National University. From November 2023 to November 2024, under the funding of the China Scholarship Council, he conducted collaborative research with Professor Heather M. Stoll at ETH Zurich. He has presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation General Program, and participated in the "13th Five-Year Plan" project on International Marine resources investigation and development, as well as key support projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Major Research and Development Program. He has a good publication records including 30 SCI papers, such as PNAS, Geology, EPSL, GRL, and JGR. He Served as a guest editor for the journals Minerals and Frontiers in Marine Science, and was a young editorial board member of Bulletin of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry. He served as a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province.

● 研究方向
围绕海洋与陆地系统交互作用下铁循环的成矿效应和环境气候意义开展工作,揭示深海铁锰结核结壳、富稀土沉积的元素富集机制和环境制约作用;通过地球化学与岩石磁学交叉、多指标连用探究不同气候背景下铁循环的环境气候调节效应;深入理解地球环境气候演化过程中铁生物地球化学循环意义,将主要开展以下几个方面研究:
(1)深海矿产资源成矿作用;
(2)海陆交互作用下铁循环的环境气候调节效应;
(3)海洋铁磁矿物的生物地球化学循环;
(4)铁磁矿物环境响应机理;
(5)铁循环相关营养盐生物地球化学循环。
Research Interests
My research interests centered on mineralization effect and environmental and climatic significance of the iron cycle under the interaction between marine and terrestrial systems. To explore element enrichment mechanism and environmental constraints of deep-sea iron-manganese nodule crusting and rare earth-rich deposits, as well as the environmental and climatic regulatory effects of iron cycling. To fully understand the significance of the iron biogeochemical cycle in the evolution of the Earth's environment. Key objectives include:
(1) The mineralization mechanism of deep-sea ore resources
(2) The regulatory effects of iron cycling by environments and climate under the interaction between land and sea
(3) Biogeochemical cycles of marine ferromagnetic minerals
(4) Environmental response mechanism of ferromagnetic minerals
(5) Biogeochemical cycles of nutrients related to the iron cycle
