(1)解析海洋有机碳迁移、转化过程及其调控机制,厘清有机碳源-汇的时空变迁及其环境效应;
(2)探究氮、磷、铁等生源要素对海洋生物泵的调控作用,探索海洋生物泵演变与古环境变化之间的偶联关系;
欢迎咨询与交流(ldw@hainanu.edu.cn)。
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Over the course of tens of thousands of years, what changes have occurred in the Earth's climate and environment, and what are the driving forces behind these changes? Throughout the geological history, what is the current state of the Earth that humans inhabit, and how will the future be? Can humanity truly dominate the Earth, and to what extent does human activity disturb the climate and environment? Conversely, how does climate change impact the development of human civilization? Taking these scientific inquiries, my research focuses on the interrelationship between marine carbon cycling and global climate change over glacial-interglacial timescales. My specific research interests include:
1. To investigate the migration and transformation of organic carbon in the ocean, as well as the factors that control these processes; To evaluate the climate/environment effect of organic carbon burial in the ocean sediment.
2. To investigate the roles of biogenic elements such as bioactive nitrogen, phosphorus, and iron on the marine biological pump in the ancient ocean.
3. To develop new indicators/proxies based on isotopes of carbon and nitrogen, as well as biomarkers, which will be helpful to solve scientific questions in the field of marine carbon cycling.
I am currently seeking to recruit one master's student and one doctoral student each year. I warmly invite doctoral candidates with interests in biogeochemistry, paleoceanography, and paleoclimatology to join my research team for postdoctoral studies. Please feel free to contact me (ldw@hainanu.edu.cn). Regardless of your decision, I am happy to share.
