Yingzi Xiao investigates and surveys Hainan University

本站讯（记者 杨婕 摄影 万睿志 杨婕）3月8日上午，海南省政协党组副书记、副主席肖莺子赴海南大学，就深入推进“双一流”建设和科技成果转化应用情况开展调研。海南大学党委书记符宣国会见肖莺子一行，并在南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室107会议室召开座谈会。

On the morning of March 8, 2023, Yingzi Xiao, vice secretary and vice chairman of Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC party group, investigated and surveyed the construction of the Double First-class Program and the application of scientific and technological achievements of Hainan University. Xuanguo Fu, Party Secretary of Hainan University, met Yingzi Xiao and had a forum with her in MRU Conference Room 107.

肖莺子对海南大学“双一流”建设所取成果表示肯定。她指出，海南大学在学科建设、科技创新和人才引进方面实现了许多重大突破，希望海南大学坚持“四个面向”，加强基础前沿探索和关键技术突破，勇做基础研究的主力军和重大科技突破的生力军。紧密结合海南省产业链发展需求，加快推动科技成果转化应用，让更多创新成果在海南就地转化。她强调，要深入学习贯彻习近平总书记“4·13”重要讲话，按照中央决策和省委部署，心怀“国之大者”，深化省校合作，共同谱写海南自由贸易港建设的新篇章。

Yingzi Xiao expressed her approval of the achievements made by Hainan University in the construction of Double First-class Program. She pointed out that Hainan University had achieved many major breakthroughs in discipline construction, scientific and technological innovation and talent introduction, and hoped that Hainan University could adhere to the “four faces”, strengthen the frontier exploration and key technology breakthroughs, and have the courage to be the main force of basic research and major scientific and technological breakthroughs. She also wished Hainan University to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Hainan based on the development needs of the industrial chain in Hainan Province. She stressed that we should study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s “4.13 speech”, deepen the cooperation between the province and the university, and facilitate the construction of Hainan free trade port in accordance with the decisions from the central government and the provincial party committee.

符宣国代表校党委对省政协给予的支持和帮助表示感谢。他介绍了学校“双一流”建设情况。截止2023年2月，海南大学共引进高层次人才1138人，其中院士、杰青等国家级人才数量达到51人。2022年，学校获批国家自然科学基金项目218项，国家社科基金项目27项，创历史新高。他表示，海南大学坚持“海南有需求、海大有作为”的使命担当，充分发挥参与者、参谋部、孵化器和后备队作用，为海南自由贸易港建设提供强有力的人才保障、智力支持和科技支撑。

Xuanguo Fu, on behalf of the school party committee, expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance given by the Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. He introduced Hainan University’s Double First-class Program construction status. By the end of February 2023, Hainan University had introduced 1,138 high-level talents, including 51 academicians and national outstanding talents. In 2022, Hainan University was awarded 218 National Natural Science Foundation programs and 27 National Social Science Fund of China programs, which hit a new high. He said that Hainan University adhered to the principle of “Hainan University is responsible for the development of Hainan Province” and provided a strong talent support and scientific and technological support for the construction of Hainan free trade port.

会前，肖莺子一行参观了热带作物学院天然橡胶实验室，并实地走访了南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室。

Before the forum, Yingzi Xiao visited the natural rubber laboratory of the College of Tropical Crops and MRU.

校党委常委和校领导曹兵、曹宪忠、谭勇，省政协委员，双方相关单位、部门负责人参加上述活动。

The attendees included: the standing committee members of the Party committee of Hainan university; Hainan University’s leaders of Bing Cao, Xianzhong Cao and Yong Tan; members of the Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; the heads of relevant units and departments of both sides.
