State Key Laboratory of Marine Resources Utilization in South China Sea successfully held the themed event during the 15th Science and Technology Month of Hainan Province

为响应海南省第十五届科技活动月主题活动的号召，海南大学南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室邀请了国内外海洋资源利用领域的专家举办了一系列学术活动，并取得了丰硕的成果。

In response to the call of the 15th Science and Technology Month of Hainan Province, the State Key Laboratory of Marine Resources Utilization in South China Sea (MRU) invited experts in the field of marine resources utilization at home and abroad to deliver a series of academic presentations, which has gained fruitful achievements.

7月2号，东北师范大学教授、博士生导师，化学学院院长、多酸科学教育部重点实验室主任朱广山作了题为《多孔芳香骨架材料（PAFs）》的精彩学术报告。在该报告中，朱广山教授介绍了其在多孔芳香材料领域开创性的研究成果，并交流了多孔芳香骨架材料在海水提铀、气体吸附、化学物质吸附、化学催化等领域广阔而优良的应用潜力。

On July 2, 2019, Professor Guangshan Zhu from Northeast Normal University gave a wonderful academic report entitled “Porous Aromatic Framework Materials (PAFs)”. In the lecture, Professor Zhu introduced his pioneering achievements in the field of porous aromatic materials and its broad and excellent application potential in the fields of uranium extraction from seawater, gas adsorption, chemical substance adsorption and chemical catalysis.

7月3号，苏州大学放射医学与交叉学科研究院院长助理、放射医学与辐射防护国家重点实验室核能环境化学研究中心主任王殳凹教授和美国弗罗里达大学马胜前教授分别作了题为《放射性核素配位化学引导的核能放射性污染防治基础研究》和《Uranium Nano-Trap for Uranium Extraction from Seawater and Recovery from Nuclear Waste》的学术报告。王殳凹教授的报告介绍了其在放射性核素配位化学、放射性核素固定、动物放射性核素铀污染促排等方面的研究成果；马胜前教授的报告介绍了其在海水提铀新官能团设计、海水提铀新吸附剂制备领域的研究成果。

On July 3, 2019, Professor Shuao Wang from Soochow University and Professor Shengqian Ma from University of Florida gave lectures entitled “Basic research on radiation pollution prevention by radionuclide coordination chemistry” and “Uranium nano-trap for uranium extraction from seawater and recovery from nuclear waste” respectively. Professor Wang introduced his research achievements in radionuclide coordination chemistry, radionuclide immobilization, and prevention of radionuclides in animals. Professor Ma introduced his achievements in the design of new functional groups for uranium extraction from seawater and the preparation of new adsorbents for uranium extraction from seawater.

本次系列学术获得受到了来自南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室、材料科学与工程学院、理学院、化学工程与技术学院等师生的广泛关注，参会师生与报告专家就相关学术问题做了深入的交流与讨论。本次系列学术会议的举行，有助于增加海南大学与苏州大学、东北师范大学、美国佛罗里达大学的学术合作。

The themed event had attracted attention of teachers and students from MRU, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Science, School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, etc. The participants had in-depth communication and discussion with the experts on relevant academic issues. The event would help to increase the academic cooperation between Hainan University and Soochow University, Northeast Normal University and University of Florida.
