    《前沿科学》刊登MRU郭志强教授等学术文章

近日,海南大学南海海洋资源利用国家重点实验室(以下简称MRU)副主任郭志强教授、海南大学海洋学院、MRU李秀保教授、MRU陈凯副研究员在《前沿科学》期刊上发表题为“‘多管’齐下保护海洋生物多样性”的学术文章。

Recently, Professor Guo Zhiqiang, Associate Director of State Key Laboratory of Marine Resources Utilization in South China Sea of Hainan University (hereinafter referred to as MRU), Professor Li Xiubao of the School of Ocean of Hainan University and Associate Research Professor Chen Kai of MRU published a research paper entitled Taking Multi-Pronged Approach to Protecting Marine Biodiversity in Frontier Science.

随着现代工业文明的迅速发展和城市化进程的加快,各类开发活动不断加剧,全球气候变化持续影响、海洋垃圾污染日益严重等问题,导致海洋生态系统和生物多样性遭到不同程度的破坏,造成海洋生态系统局部损伤和持续退化。大量的海洋生物处于受威胁状态,海洋生物多样性的组成和资源结构平衡遭受了破坏。同时,随着世界贸易增加,海上运输与贸易往来频繁,这也为外来物种的传入和扩散提供了便利条件,进而也对海洋生物多样性造成了威胁。

With the rapid development of modern industrial civilization and the acceleration of urbanization, various kinds of development activities have been intensified, and the continuous impacts of global climate change and the increasing marine litter pollution have led to different degrees of damage to marine ecosystems and biodiversity as well as the local damage and continuous degradation of marine ecosystems. A large number of marine organisms are in a threatened state, and the balance of the composition and resource structure of marine biodiversity has been damaged. At the same time, the increase in world trade and frequent maritime transport and trade have facilitated the introduction and spread of alien species, which in turn threatens marine biodiversity.

该论文从“多维发力保护鱼类和渔业资源”、“转型升级维持珊瑚礁多样性”、“协调一致应对海洋生物多样性威胁”三个方面,针对海洋鱼类多样性和渔业资源面临的严峻形势,对国家应采取的行动提出了建议。面对海洋生物多样性并不乐观的未来,海洋生物多样性保护是一项长期而又艰巨的系统工程。需要进一步完善海洋和海岸带综合管理体制,提升针对海洋生物多样性的长期监测和系统的评价能力;加强生物多样性的保护和科学研究、高层次创新团队和优秀技术人才队伍建设;扩大宣传教育和公众参与程度,加深国际合作和交流,协调一致地来保护全球海洋生物多样性。

The paper focuses on three aspects which are “multi-dimensional protection of fish and fishery resources", "transformation and upgrading to maintain coral reef diversity" and "coordinated response to marine biodiversity threats" and proposes some advice that should be taken by China in response to the critical situation of marine fish diversity and fishery resources. In the face of an unpromising future for marine biodiversity, marine biodiversity protection is a long-term and arduous systemic project. It is necessary to further improve the integrated management system of marine and coastal zones, enhance the long-term monitoring and systemic evaluation capacity of marine biodiversity, strengthen biodiversity protection and scientific research, build high-level innovation teams, train excellent technical talents, expand publicity, education and public participation, and deepen international cooperation and communication to protect global marine biodiversity in a coordinated manner.
